Seashells, Starfish & Sand Dollars

Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the week and one step closer to Friday, yippee! Ever since I picked up this darling halter top from the Lilly + Target collaboration I've been waiting for the perfect time and way to style it. It wasn't until I picked up these Lilly Pulitzer lace-up sandals that it finally hit me as to how to style this halter top.

White jeans are such a staple in my spring and summer wardrobe and I was so excited to break them out again while I was in Florida last week. These lace-up sandals are such a fun statement piece and I can't wait to style them even more this spring and summer!

Do you have lace-up sandals, if so, how do you style them?

Button Up Dressed Down

Our first night in Palm Coast was very laid back as we all were super tired after driving 5 hours in the car that day. We headed out to a local restaurant to watch the UK game (sadly, they lost) and since it was a casual evening I opted to wear this Lilly button up but I dressed it down by pairing it with these linen khaki shorts. Let me tell you, these shorts are so comfy and I already know they'll be a go-to piece for casual days this spring and summer!

What's your favorite way to style button ups?

Spring Break Instagram Round-Up

Long time, no post! Spring break is coming to an end and sadly I have to head back to school tomorrow. I already know it's going to be hard to get myself out of bed at 6am tomorrow morning.

As I'm sure many of y'all know, I traveled down to Palm Coast, Florida with my family for spring break last week. It was so nice to get out of Ohio and be in some sunshine! I was able to play a few rounds of golf, lay out by the pool, consume absurd amounts of sweet tea & take shoot lots of outfits for the blog which y'all will be seeing scattered throughout these next few weeks!

If y'all follow me on Instagram (which you totally should! @northprepster) then you may have been following my travel hashtag: #NorthernPrepsterTravels. Anytime I travel I'll tag all of my pictures with this hashtag so my readers & followers can easily see all of my travel photos. This trip my feed was rather bright & colorful and filled with lots of different outfits. Today I'll be sharing those photos again with y'all just as a recap.

I styled this Lilly Pulitzer button-up with a casual pair of linen drawstring shorts and am obsessed with how comfy this outfit was! The cuffs on the sleeves of the shirt added such a fun pop of pattern to this outfit!

This outfit is one of my favorites from the trip! I wore this simple hot pink polo dress from Ralph Lauren and paired with my monogrammed tote from Moscato & Monograms it's such a fun pink & navy combination!

This tunic from Lilly Pulitzer was such a fun piece to style! I paired it with white pants and my go-to sandals and love the simplicity of this look!

Once again, my monogrammed tote made the Insta because I'm so in love with it! It holds so much and goes with almost anything!

This is hands down my favorite photo my mom snapped for me over break. From the navy anchor bracelet to the light pink Jack Rogers and even down to the pool in the background, ahh I just love it so much!

This skirt from Lilly Pulitzer is going to be a staple in my closet this spring and summer! Paired with some fun arm candy this skirt is such a fun piece!

I sported this Lilly shift in Pink Colony on our last night in Florida and love this photo we snapped at sunset!

Saturday night we overnighted in Raleigh, NC and my mom and I paid a visit to Palm Avenue where we were able to snag some awesome pieces for some awesome prices. I didn't end up purchasing this Lilly shift as it was too big but I did snag the blue & white striped top from vineyard vines! I'm so excited to style it & share it with y'all!

Just was Easter and although I was in the car most of the day on my way home I shared this picture of  myself wearing this bright pink Lilly shift at Flagler Beach. This shift is one of my favorites because I love how bright it is! It was rather chilly & windy this night so I threw on a jean jacket over my shift! I'll be sharing the full outfit later this month!

Which outfit are you most excited to see?

10 Things I Would Never Travel Without

On Friday morning right after 2nd period I am off to Florida for spring break. However, before I can zip up my suitcase and through it in the car I have to make sure I have everything I'm going to need. Today I'm collaborating with Katie from Chic in Carolina to share 10 things that we would never travel without.
headphones & Spotify
Whether I'm driving or flying to my destination I always need to have my headphones with me so I can listen to my current Spotify playlists.

sunglasses
This may seem like a no-brainer but I can't even count the number of times I've forgotten to bring a pair of sunglasses on a trip with me.

rain jacket
Even if the forecast for my destination shows sun for the entire duration of my trip I always pack a rain jacket (preferably my monogrammed one!) in case there's ever a day when it storms but I still want to be out and about.

chapstick
I always get so caught up in packing fun lipstick colors that I forget to pack a simply chapstick. Bonus points if it has SPF in it!

aloe & lotion
Especially if I'm heading someplace warm and know that I'm going to be out in the sun it's essential that I have aloe and lotion with me to help deal with any potential sunburns.

wallet
I feel like this doesn't need much of an explanation.... ;)

cameras & chargers
Would I even be a blogger if I didn't take my camera with me? Vacations are always my favorite time to share outfit posts as I'm always exploring new places and discovering new photo ops.

Fitbit
Just because I'm on vacation doesn't mean I shouldn't track my steps! I wear my Fitbit everyday and it's almost second nature for me to wake up, put on my Fitbit and go on with my day.

ballcap
I love ballcaps. I have quite the collection and love that I can wear one while golfing, at the beach or throw one on before heading out to grab breakfast in the mornings. Ballcaps are an essential that I pack with me for every trip.

lots of hair ties
I tend to lose hair ties frequently so it's essential that I pack lots of them. I wear my hair up most days while lounging by the pool and when I golf so packing hair ties is something that I can never forget.

Make sure to head on over and check out Katie's post!

What do you never travel without?

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! This week was a tad longer than I would have liked it to be but we finally made it. My school work load was either nothing or homework in every subject. People really don't joke about junior year being the hardest year. This weekend I have so many fun things to do, my friends and I are going to the Blue Jackets game tonight, I have golf practice tomorrow morning, my two best friends and I are attending my schools regional final basketball game and then I'm off the babysit.

vineyard vines
I recently received the new vineyard vines catalogue and boy oh boy do I want everything in it!

Jack Rogers
My mom and I purchased this pair of Jack Rogers a while ago and now that spring break is growing closer I am growing more and more eager to be able to style them!

Lilly Pulitzer shifts
If you follow me on Instagram (@northprepster) then you've seen that I've been posting a lot of bright colors recently. I am so excited for spring break and am already beginning to plan some outfits that I am so excited to style and share on the blog!

What were your favorites from this past week?

March Bucket List

Happy March! The month of March means spring break is just around the corner and I couldn't be happier. Since this month is going to transition into spring I decided that I would create a bucket list for myself with a few things I want to do this month!

What's on your bucket list this month?

Spring Nail Polish Colors

Spring is just around the corner and that means that sandals season is too. By time I start wearing my sandals again my toes will always be painted. I feel so awkward when they aren't painted, anybody else? I always opt for a bright pink color for both spring and summer but I also really like these pastel blues and purples.

What's your go-to nail polish color?
