Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Hi Everyone!

Tonight I am sharing one of my favorite holiday recipes with y'all! Today it barely made it above 20 degrees so in order to combat the cold weather & snow that's making its way into our town I decided to make my favorite cookies to put me in the holiday spirit.

Enjoy!

The quantities of ingredients are also listed on the recipe card pictured above...
  • 1/2 cup sugar                                                         *1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar                                              * 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter                                * 1/2 tsp. baking powder (not shown above)
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg

Combine & mix the sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, margarine, shortening and egg in a large mixing bowl. Make sure these ingredients are mixed thoroughly.

Stir in the flour, baking soda and baking powder & mix thoroughly

Shape the dough into balls and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet. I was able to fit 3 rows of 4 on mine but it all depends on how big or small you want your cookies to be.

If you haven't done so already, preheat your oven to 375*
 Bake for 8-10 minutes
Immediately after taking the cookies out of the oven press Hershey kisses firmly into each cookie. This step needs to be done quickly to ensure your cookies appear as they are supposed to. If you wait too long it will be difficult to place the kisses without the cookie crumbling.

Let cool for 10-15 minutes and serve!

I hope y'all enjoyed this post & if you want to see more posts like this leave a comment down below on let me know on Instagram!
