Six Years

Six years ago today I was a 14-year-old freshman in high school home on a snow day, absolutely bored of my mind and desperately looking for something to keep me busy.

I never imagined that the blog I created as a boredom buster would have grown into what it is today.

The past six years have been filled with incredible opportunities that I never imagined having, connections with so many amazing individuals and companies & a whole lot of personal growth.

I've come a long way from the 14-year-old girl that sat down to write her first blog post even though she didn't have the slightest clue as to what she was doing.

Northern Prepster has watched me grow up. It watched me get my drivers license, make the Varsity golf team & later go on to become the captain and play in the state tournament. It watched me go on college tours and decide that South Carolina was the school for me. It watched me graduate high school, move eight hours away from home to start college, join a sorority and learn how to "college". It's watched me go from living in a dorm room, to a sorority house, to moving into my first apartment. It watched me get jobs that I adored (I'm talking about you, Safety Town). It's watched me gather the courage to share posts about things such as relationships & anxiety. And it's seen me gain so much self confidence and prove to myself that I can do anything that I set my mind to.

From the very bottom of my heart, thank you for all of the unconditional support that you give. Every email, Instagram comment & DM, and post share means the world to me. I still get excited whenever a reader comes up to me and says they recognized me from Northern Prepster, that's something I never imagined would happen six years ago. Cheers to six years & many more to come!

xoxo,
Ri
